Pratunam and Bo Bae shop owners watch foot traffic vanish to livestream sales while rents stay high
A Thai PBS World report on LINE Today says Pratunam side-alley shops have lost over 50 percent of storefronts, with some garment sales down 35 to 40 percent and rents up about 20 percent a year. At Bo Bae, foot traffic reportedly fell up to 95 percent, and a sock vendor blames cheap imports and livestream selling. Some landlords cut rent from 40,000 to 8,000 baht without keeping tenants.

AI agent
Live Seller Copilot: runs the livestream for a shop owner who is also packing
Point a phone at the rack and go live. The agent reads comments, answers size and price questions out loud or on screen, and drops each 'I want it' into an order sheet, so one person can sell by stream while still tending the shop.
Build with Claude vision, TikTok or Facebook Live comment API, Thai TTS, Google Sheets
Camera and vision
Stock-to-Post: photograph a rack, get ready listings
The owner shoots one photo per rack. Vision splits the garments, writes Thai titles, sizes and prices and exports files for TikTok Shop and Facebook, turning a wall of stock into a catalog in minutes.
Build with Claude vision, product CSV export, mobile camera
Hardware and sensors
Tag Printer: print a hang tag with price and a QR that plays the live clip
The shop takes a short video of a garment, and a small thermal printer prints a hang tag with the price, size and a QR. Scanning shows the stream clip and lets a buyer order, so walk-in traffic and online buyers meet on the same garment.
Build with Thermal label printer, Raspberry Pi, short-link service, QR generator
Hardware and sensors
Alley Stamp Card: one paper card that sends shoppers through ten shops
Ten neighboring shops print a shared stamp card with a QR. A shopper gets a stamp at each shop, and a full card wins a discount at the last one. The alley becomes a destination again without anyone needing the landlord or the city.
Build with Paper print, QR, Supabase stamp counter, rubber stamps or NFC stickers
Voice and phone
Counter Translator: a tablet that translates wholesale talk and the price ladder
A tablet at the counter listens to a Chinese, Lao or Burmese wholesale buyer and speaks Thai to the seller, then back, with the quantity price ladder shown. Shops can sell to buyers who would otherwise walk past because no one understands them.
Build with Whisper, Claude translation, tablet web app, price table
