Teens in poor families quit school to nurse a parent or pay their own way, and can't find the scholarship or study route that fits

A 15 year old wrote that next month he must leave school to care for his unconscious father and his grandmother, and keep his 11 year old sister in school. He asks what to do, and commenters throw out vocational study, กยศ., scholarships and กศน. in a scattered thread. Another poster, a vocational-certificate graduate whose parents died when he was 15, paid for his own studies and could not get a กยศ. loan. He asks which scholarships exist for someone like him because a university's rural quota is only open to general-track students.

5 ways to tackle it

  • Data and maps

Route Finder: 10 questions in, a list of study and funding routes you qualify for out

A teen answers questions about age, school track, who they care for and where they live. The tool lists the routes that fit (กศน., vocational study that leaves time to care, loans, scholarships) with deadlines and what to bring, sorted by how fast money arrives.

Build with Next.js, rules table built from published criteria, Claude API

  • Voice and phone

Say It Out Loud: speak your situation in Thai and get a one-page scholarship statement

A teen who hates typing talks for two minutes about their family and what they need. The tool writes a clean one-page statement to attach to a scholarship form or hand to the guidance teacher, in their own words but organized.

Build with Thai speech-to-text, Claude API, PDF

  • Web portal

School Board Poster: a printable notice with the routes and who to ask

A teacher or อสม. prints a one-page poster with the real routes for a student who may have to leave school, a QR to the quiz, and a blank for the guidance teacher's name and phone. It sits where a quiet 15 year old can read it without asking.

Build with Next.js, print CSS, QR code

  • iPhone and Android app

Notes Relay: classmates send the day's notes to the kid nursing at home

Each class picks a rotating note-taker who photographs the board and homework. The kid at home gets a daily bundle on a basic phone with a short audio summary, so a few missed weeks don't turn into a dropout.

Build with React Native or PWA, photo upload, Claude summary, Thai text-to-speech

  • AI agent

Form Filler: ID and report card photos in, scholarship forms filled out

The teen photographs their ID card and transcript. The tool fills the common fields on scholarship and loan forms, lists what is missing (parent's income letter, headman's certificate), and prints a checklist to take to the school office.
